PS5: 4 Major News About The Upcoming Console

"Just a few days left!"

1. The PlayStation 5 has a special mechanism that allows you to easily clean the dust

A few hours ago, Sony unveiled the interior of the PlayStation 5, through a detailed disassembly video. Thus we learned that the console incorporates a very clever detail. Specifically, under the white detachable housing, the PS5 has a mechanism that collects dust.

More specifically, there are two special holes through which you can clean the console without losing your warranty. Quite simply, using a broom you will be able to pull most of the dust through these two holes.

2. The inside of the PS5 is revealed - Detailed video shows the inside and outside of the console

Sony had promised in March that it would release a detailed video of the PlayStation 5’s disassembly before the console’s release. The time has come, and so the spotlight was on a seven-minute video of the PS5 being 'naked' in front of the camera.

We first learned that the console necessarily needs the removable base included in the package, to stand vertically or horizontally, while it was shown that it is placed exactly at the bottom or back of the console.

At the same time, among other things, it was revealed that the side panels are removed without screws, we saw exactly where the place for the expansion of the internal storage is, while the cooling system of the console was presented, as well as how exactly this will work.

The 'dust cleaning' mechanism we mentioned before, is presented in about the second minute of the following video.

For the record, at the end of the video, Sony notes that this mechanism is not a guarantee that the system will never have dust, something that the company is probably legally obliged to mention.

3. The PlayStation Trophies are changing in anticipation of the PS5 and more levels are added

Initially, the Trophy Levels will change completely from the ones of Playstation 4. Now the range of levels is "1-100" and Sony intends to increase it to "1-999". This means that your level will change after applying this change, according to the Trophies you have unlocked so far. For example, if you are now level 12, the new system will take you to level 200.

As part of these changes, the company will implement a new level calculation system that will be more rewarding for players. In particular, it will be easier to go up to the initial levels, and overall you will go up the level with greater consistency. In fact, Platinum trophies will contribute more to the levels, making them even more valuable.

Finally, the level icons will change on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation App.

4. The PS5 3D Sound will initially require headphones - Sony explains It will not be supported in launch to virtual surround and for TVs

Sony continues to gradually reveal information about the PlayStation 5 as we approach the console release next month. This time, the company decided to focus on the Tempest 3D AudioTech of the PS5, which promises to change the way you listen to games, always according to what it says.

To begin with, the company points out that the Pulse 3D wireless headset that will come on the market with the console is designed to take full advantage of the 3D Audio capabilities of the PlayStation 5. Equipped with dual noise-canceling microphones, new design, and easily accessible handling, Sony believes it offers a fantastic audio experience for both the PS5 and PS4.

Most importantly, though, you do not necessarily need the Pulse 3D wireless headset to experience 3D Audio technology. It is emphasized that the headphones you already have and are connected via USB can be used, while there is the possibility to use the technology through the 3.5mm headset jack that is in the DualSense controller. Unfortunately, TV speakers will not be able to support 3D Audio on launch day. Sony reiterates that headphones are currently the "golden rule" for technology. Nevertheless, PlayStation engineers are working to provide virtual surroundings through TV speakers sometime in the future.
